public trees on ancestry.com.....not always reliable...... suggests that William Holman was the son of Cornelius Holman born 1789 Woodford co., Kentucky and that Cornelius died in 1862 in Oldham co., Kentucky....his wife was Mary COLSON and there are further generations but if this was my family...I'd look into Cornelius in Woodford and Oldham counties in Kentucky...something made 2 Holman researchers think that William was the son of Cornelius. try for the marriage of William and Lucy Swearingen perhaps on family search.
