I'm sure there are early tax lists for souyheastern counties of iowa in the 1840s...heads of families ONLYonline but of course Can't find them. Mot too many people in appanoose county in the 1840s,,,their indeX to probates doesnt begin until 1850 iF THE MORRISONS HAD LAND HOLDINGS there may BE LAND RECORDS
