I found a marriage record on ancestry.com of May Buck marrying J.P. Junkins on 9/9/1894 in Appanoose County. If you know she married Walter William Burgess you can disregard that record.
Here's the information from the 1900 census with Walter Burgess in Montana:

And if that's her husband, here he is in the 1880 census in Appanoose County:

I found two submitted genealogies with her parents. They have slightly different facts so you can combine and compare them. I can't vouch for their accuracy:

I also found this biography of William Buck, a brother of James. It includes this family information and has James's mother's maiden name:
"BUCK, WILLIAM J., farmer, Sec. 16 ; P. 0. Tranquility ; born in Jackson Co., Ohio, March 9,1835 ; his father, Charles Buck, a miller, was born in 1797 ; his mother, Marion Martin, was born May 15, 1802, and married in 1820 in Jackson Co., Ohio ; his father died Sept. 23, 1852, leaving six children, all of whom settled in Iowa — two in Appanoose."
You can find it in this electronic copy of that book. Do repeated "Finds" on "Buck".

Here's Charles, Mariah and James in the 1850 census in Ohio:

Note that several of those URL's aren't clickable links so you'll have to copy them into your browser to view them.
