Benjamin R. Head was my gggreat grandfather. He was born in NC in 1830 He was married 3 times, and died Oct 6, 1881 in Melrose, Jackson Township, Monroe Co, IA. Unfortunately for me I can find no record for his first wife who is the mother of Mary E Head my ggreat grandmother. She was born in NC 1852, then she and her father went to Iowa and he re-married twice. I will keep searching. I will be uploading my site near the end of the year so you can take a look.
