That led me to look in Morgan County, Ohio to see if I could find a potential father. I know that it was common for the first born male to be named after the husband's father. I found the following entry. While it's not 100% guaranteed that's the father, it's highly likely. Edward is the only Trimble living in Morgan county in 1850 of the right age to be Daniel's father.
