Eliza Ellen Watters was born 27 DEC 1846or47 in OH or IA/Van Buren Co. She married Mordica H. Skaggs on 04 APR 1865 and married Sylvester Walker Hicks on 14 NOV 1868. I would like to know what happened to Mr. Skaggs (death, divorce) & whether they had any children. In an 1880 census of Appanoose Cty, Union Twp, Eliza (32)& Sylvester (31)have an adopted daughter, Martha A (12), (can her parentage be found?) and a son, Frank/Franklin (11). I would like information about Frank as well. In a 1900 census, Appaanoose Cty, Union Twp, Sylvester & Eliza have a daughter, Lucy Elizabeth (19) and a foster daughter, Blanch (3)(can her parentage be found?), a stepmother Mary Corey (76), a boarder, William Wilfong (28), a brother-in-law, William Frazier (60). I believe William Frazier to be Eliza's half-brother & would like to know where he is buried. I believe he died around 1905/07. I do not know about any wife or children he may have had.
