According to my copy of the book, "Cemeteries of Appanoose County, Iowa" by W.M. Heusinkveld, "Brushy Cemetery is located in the S.E. corner of Sect. 16, T-70N, R-19W. It is 1/8 mile east side of Highway No. 142 just south of its intersection with Highway J-18, the Confidence Road."

The book goes on to tell that there is a Brushy Church south of the cemetery. Since the name of the cemetery does not include any reference to a creek, I am not certain that this is the cemetery you seek. Mr. H has a picture of the cemetery and the church in his book. Hope this helps.
