I have Martha's father John Scott in the 1840 census (with wife & one baby son Thomas) living in Harrisburg, Van Buren Co. Iowa being close to his father Stephen & uncle John. I have Martha's family in the 1850 census in District 13, Monroe Co. Iowa close to her fathers cousin Andrew Jackson Scott. Depending on when they moved from Van Buren to Monroe, I'm assuming Martha was probably born in one of these two counties.
