Tuesday morning, May 15th, at 9:15, Mrs. Eliza, wife of Nathan Udell, M. D. The funeral will be from the residence tomorrow, at 10 o'clock, a.m.

Mrs. Udell was born February 18th, 1816, in Washington County, Ohio. She was married to Nathan Udell, June 30th, 1840. They moved to Unionville, this county, July 4th, 1849; and to Centerville in 1860, where they have since resided. Mrs. Udell was a valued member of the Presbyterian church, having united with it in Marietta, Ohio, while yet a young lady, and having transferred her membership to the church in Unionville in 1858, and thence to the church in Centerville in 1860.

Mrs. Udell suffered many years with rheumatism, but for some time back her health has been better than usual, and was able, last week, to walk to Mr. Evans' residence, two blocks distant. Last Wednesday night she had an acute attack of partial paralysis, resulting from her rheumatic trouble, which caused her death. Her mind was clear until Friday morning, when she fell into a condition of extreme coma, from which she did not recover, but passed away sweetly, without any sense of pain.

Before entering into this state of unconsciousness, she condensed the loving care, and hope, and longing of her whole life into a single, unfinished sentence: "O! my dear children-".

The tender ties that bound her to her husband over forty-three years, are severed by the hand of death; and her beloved and dutiful children have been bereft of their best earthly friend.

It is not only the testimony of her own family but the universal verdict of the whole community, that "Mrs. Udell was a good woman."

She leaves her husband and five children, eleven grand-children, and a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn her departure from this life. May heaven's tenderest consolations be to those who are called, so suddenly, to endure such a severe affliction.
Pastor.
