Carol E. Willard, 78, of Davenport, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at her home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 31, 2020 at 12:00 pm at Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of service. Burial will follow at Davenport Memorial Park. Online condolences may be left at www.weertsfh.com

Carol was born on September 25, 1941 in Mystic, IA the daughter of Omar and Ola Turnney. She graduated from Mystic High School in 1959. She attended one year of nurses training at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. She also worked at Bankers Life, now known as Principal Financial Group. She was united in marriage to John Willard on April 24, 1971. He preceded her in death in 2017. Soon after marrying, they relocated back to Davenport, IA where John worked for a local newspaper and Carol worked as an administrative assistant.

Carol was a loving person that had many interests and talents. She loved children, dogs and cats. She would help anyone in need.

She is survived by her sister, Bonnie and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three siblings.
