OBITUARYMrs. Eliza Miller the subject of this brief sketch was born in Decatur County Indiana, December 24, 1830 and died at her home in Iconium, Appanoose County, Iowa, October 4, 1901, after an illness of many months, she gradually grew worse until her spirit took it flight returning to the God who gave it. The deceased became the wife of George Miller on January 5, 1849 and they left Indiana and came to Iowa the same year. Unto Mr. and Mrs. Miller 11 children were born, seven now living, four having preceded the mother to the spirit land.
The deceased was a good woman, a devoted wife, accommodating neighbor and was highly esteemed by all who knew her.
Funeral services were conducted the following day by Reverend Swan of the Milledgeville Church, it was attended by a large number of friends and relatives; the body was in turd in the adjoining cemetery there to await the resurrection morn. The Miller family have the sympathy of many friends.
