Helen Cozad

Mrs. Helen Donna Cozad, 77, 412 East Walsh Street, Centerville, died Friday, September 21, 1973, at the St. Joseph Hospital.

Born January 2, 1896, in Plano, she was the daughter of Benjamin F. And Eva Nancy Ireland Irwin. The was married to Asabel Joe Cozad in Centerville, January 5, 1916. He preceded her in death.

Surviving are four sons, Irwin Cozad and Ronald Cozad, both of Centerville, LeRoy Cozad, Council Bluffs and Dale Cozad, Amsterdam, New York; one daughter, Wilma Grimes, Newton, Iowa, 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; two half sisters, Mrs. Mildred Tarbell, Melrose and Mrs. Dorothy Curtis, Plano, one brother, Oswald Irwin, Melrose; and her stepmother, Mrs. Harley Sulser, Melrose.

Funeral services were Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, with the Reverend. C. Donald Thrash officiation. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.
