Cora Kendrick Passes Away
Cora Stone Kendrick, former well known local resident, died at a hospital in Des Moines about 4:30 p.m., March 6, of a cerebral hemorrhage. Mrs.Kendrick, who was 78, suffered the hemorrhageSaturday, March 2and had never regained consciousness.
Mrs. Kendrick was a member a prominent Centerville family, and was the daughter of A.C. and Anna Stone. Her husband, the late Attorney W. R. C. Kendrick was at one time associated with C. F. Howell here. His father, A. V. Kendrick, was pastor of the Methodist Church around 1905.
Prior to the attack which she suffered Saturday, Mrs. Kendrick had not been ill. She had been downtown shopping the day before and had apparently no indication of the fatal attack.
Surviving are one son, William Kendrick of Des Moines; two sisters, Mrs. J M. Adamson and Mrs S. I. Moore of Centerville; one niece, Mrs. Lawrence Klepfer of Centerville; and two nephews, Dillon Moore of Kansas City and Rex Moore of Aurora, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Dunn Funeral Home in Des Moines.
