Moulton - Jim West, 63, of Waterloo, formerly of Moulton, died April 29, 1997, at his home. He was born April 24, 1934, in Moulton to Merle and Wilma Daniels West. He married Mary Busetto in Centerville. The couple later divorced. He was raised in the Moulton area and graduated from Moulton High School in 1950. He worked as a welder and repairman for the Hawkeye Tile and Drainage Company in Jesup. He was a member of the Moulton Christian Church. He is survived by his parents of Ottumwa; a son, James of Waterloo; four daughters, Debra West, Cindy Luppen and Jane Delamore all of Waterloo and Barbara Thompson of Cedar Falls; 12 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. He was preced in death by his grandparents; and a granddaughter, LeAnn Wirtz. The service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at The Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Moulton, the Rev. Reg Higginbottom officiating. Burial will be in Sunset View Cemetery North of Moulton. Visitation will be given 1 p.m. today, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Hospice Society and may be left at the funeral home or mailed to The Schmidt Family Funeral Home (The Ottumwa Courier, Thursday, May 1, 1997, p. 4).
