Herbert Martin, aged 14 years, died at his mother's residence in this place last Sunday evening, of congestion of the brain. He was sick but a day or so before his death. On Friday he was apparently as well as usual, and on Saturday complained of a sick head ache, to which he was subject, and on Sunday morning he began to grow much worse, and continued to fail rapidly until the hour of his death, about 8 o'clock in the evening. Herbert was a splendid boy, industrious, intelligent and obedient, and his parents have the condolence of many sympathizing friends. The father of the deceased is in the mining districts of the west, and could not be present to attend the funeral of his boy.
