Death of Otto Fenton
Last Saturday evening occurred the death of Ottie Fenton, following an attack of measles. Mr. Fenton had been in poor health and from the time he was taken with them he had a little hopes of recovery, fearing that even if he should recover it would advance into tuberculosis. He made his will and arranged his business in case should not recover.

He owns property in Plano, a farm north of Plano and was a stockholder in the Plano Improvement Company. He expected to occupy a portion of the new brick building, which this company was building, as a hardware store.

Deceased leaves a wife, two daughters, aged 11 and seven; two brothers, three sisters and a host of friends to mourn his loss.
He was a member of the Chariton River Baptist church and his pastor, Reverend Dawkins, conducted the funeral service is Monday afternoon at the church. Interment was made at Brushy cemetery.

The funeral of Mr. Ottie Fenton of Plano, was held at the Chariton River Church Monday of this week. Mr. Fenton was one of the Indepencence’s boys and after being united in marriage with Miss Viola Porter, move to a farm near Plano. He was for sometime in the employ of the Davidson Brothers hardware company of Plano, and all who knew him, knew him to be honest and upright. He united with the Chariton River Baptist Church in November, 1911. He leaves say wife, two daughters, three sisters, two brothers, and a host of other relatives and friends. Reverenced Dawkins, his pastor very ably delivered the discourse. School was dismissed at number four during the hour of service.
