OBITUARY
Mrs. Thurzy Ann Fenton
Thurzy Ann Eli was born February 14, 1837, be in Pottawattamie County, Indiana. In 1852 she came with her parents to Appanoose County, Iowa. In 1858 she was united in marriage with John A.Fenton, and to this union were born nine children, six of who still survives the mother; Mrs. Hatty McKinley and Mrs. Emma Reynolds, of Russell, Iowa; Charles Fenton of Plano, Iowa; Mrs. Dora Teater, of Hyannis, Nebraska; and Ottie and Edward Fenton, of Plano, Iowa. The husband and her three children were waiting the welcome her to her heavenly home.

When quite young she united with the Chariton River Baptist church, of which she remained a consistent member until her death, August 29, 1910. The funeral was preached August 30, at the Chariton River Church by her pastor, Rev. C. H. Owens, to a large and sympathetic audience of relatives and friends, after which the remains were laid to rest in Chariton River Cemetery.
