MRS. B. P. WILKES BURIAL SERVICES
Died in Cedar Rapids Friday and Funeral Services in Former Home Town

Funeral services for Mrs. P. B. Wilkes were held this afternoon, Monday, December 21, at the Beckner Funeral home, conducted by Reverend Luther W. Childs of the First Baptist church and burial was beside her husband in Oakland cemetery.
Sarah J. Cole was born in Centerville July 24, 1862, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George B. Cole. She died at the home of her son Clifford in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Friday morning, December 18, 1836, at the age of 74 years, and has lived with various ones of the children.
She was married to P. B. Wilkes in May 1882. This continued to be there home, Her husband engaging in school teaching and insurance he was a prominent civic leader, devoted to the Chautauqua and other uplifting enterprises. She centered her interests in the home and gave faithful attention to the growing family of children who have taken their place in various walks of life. They were Winifred, wife of E. L. Baker, Aberdeen, South Dakota

Myron, Omaha Nebraska
Cyril, Norfolk, Nebraska
Keys, Centerville, South Dakota
Harry Ordell died in 1916 the year following the death of the husband and father in 1915
Mrs. Wilkes was a member of the Baptist Church as was her husband in Centerville.
Those of the family here for the funeral services were Mrs. Winnifred Baker from Aberdeen, South Dakota, Raymond from Sioux City, Clifford from Cedar Rapids, Cyrill from Norfolk, Nebraska and Keith from Centerville, South Dakota.
