Billberg Dies in East Moline
Hilding Billberg, a former resident of the city, died Thursday night, August 7, at his home in East Moline, Illinois. He had been ill for two or three weeks and was confined to the hospital for a part of that time.
Mr. Billberg was born near Exline, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henning Billberg, who has preceded him in death. He grew to manhood in this county, moving to the Tri-Cities some of 13 or 14 years ago, where he was employed by the Alcoa Aluminum company.
His wife, the former Thelma Millizer and two children together with two sisters survive.
Funeral services and burial will take place in East Moline Monday.

Paul Billberg, 39, Dies after Heart Attack
EAST MOLINE
Paul H. Billberg, 39, of 316 Twenty-Third Avenue, East Moline, a resident of East Moline since 1937 and employed as an electrician in the Alcoa plant in Bettendorf, died following a heart attack in his home shortly after midnight last night.
Although members of the fire department’s resuscitator squad worked to revive him they efforts were without success.
Mr. Billberg was born in Exline, Iowa, December 24, 1912. He was the son of Henning and Josephine Billberg. He married Thelma Millizer in Galesburg, July 10, 1936. He was a Lutherian by faith.
Survivors besides the widow are two children. Paul and Carol, both at home and a stepdaughter, both at home and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Wayne Thomas of Centerville, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. O. A. Jungman of Scotland, South Dakota, and Miss Lorene Billberg of Des Moines. His parents and a sister preceded him in death.
The body was removed to Van-Hoe Funeral Home.
