To Death In Bed

Centerville, Ia., Sept. 16. - Prevented by illness and injuries from moving his bed when fire almost totally destroyed the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles Graham, near Unionville, this morning, I. M. Van Cleve, 90 years old, was burned to death.

Mr. and Mrs. Graham were in the yard near the house making molasses when an oil stove exploded in the kitchen, setting the residence a blaze. They did not hear the explosion, apparently, nor know the house was a fire until after the flames were beyond control.
