James Fox

James Fox, 84, of the Centerville Care Center, died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 1992, at the Centerville Care Center, where he had been making his home for the past year.

He was born in Hocking Township in Monroe County to James and Louise Finney Fox June 13, 1908. He was united in marriage Sept. 3, 1938, in Centerville to Goldie Mae Boring. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Lavern of Chicago, Ill., and James of Marshaltown; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers; and a sister.

He was a coal miner and worked for the railroad on the Bridge crew.

Funeral services will be announced later by the Duley Funeral Home.
