OTTUMWA - Lecta Emily Coop, 92, of Ottumwa, died Saturday at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.
Services were held Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Church in Ottumwa. The Rev. Dan Mooney officiated. Burial was in Taylor Cemetery in Appanoose County. Memorials have been established to her church.
She was born May 4, 1894, in Davis County to Thomas and Priscilla Jane TULK DOLL. She was a resident of Davis County until 1963 when she moved to Ottumwa. She married Tommy Lester Coop Dec. 22, 1915. He died May 31, 1977.
Mrs. Coop is survived by a daughter, Ann McClure, Ottumwa; a son, Oris, Fairfield; seven grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son.
