FRANK DANIELS DEAD
William Franklin Daniels was born on a farm in Highland countv, Ohio, July 4, 1850. In 1881 he came to Appanoose county, Iowa, four years later
he married Dela Freeborn, and they settled on a farm one mile west of Coal City, on which he resided ever since. Their six children were all born on this same farm . One child died in infancy. The five living are: Mrs. Maud Whitney, of Chariton, Ia., Mrs. Effie King, of Moulton, Howard who resides on the old home place, Mrs. Grace Dixon, and Mrs. Lulu Hill, of Moulton.
About the first of December his health began to fail, and finally, he was taken to the hospital at Centerville, where all that medical skill could do was done in a vain attempt; to restore him to health. But in spite of this, he passed away March 2, 1924. He was at the time of his death 67 years, 7 months, and 28 days.
He leaves to mourn his departure from this life his aged mother, Mrs. Caroline Daniels, of Grinnell, Ia., the five children, four sisters, Mrs. Mary Vance, of Alexander, Ind., Martha Riley,of Middletown, Ohio,; Ola Newkirk, of Des Moines; Tilla Freeborn., of Grinnell; one brother, Tom, of Dean; and ten grandchildren. His wife preceded him in death in October 1897.
Mr. Daniel was a member of I. O. O. F., No 718, of Dean. He was a kind and loving father, an accommodating neighbor and a true friend.
