Lester Lewis Thompson
Services for Lester Lewis Thompson, 81, a longtime Centerville resident, will be held Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Miller-Wehrle Funeral Home in Centerville, with Dr. Douglas Oelke pastor of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Philadelphia Cemetery west of Brazil.
Born August 4, 1900, in Brazil, Ia., he was the son of Robert and Carrie Stirts Thompson. He had been employed as a coal miner. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Centerville.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother, Dave Thompson, two half brothers, Bill Moden and Elmer Moden; two half-sisters, Mrs. Charles Leak and Mrs. Charles Cooper. Survivors include nieces and nephews.
Mr. Thompson had resided at Friends Nursing Home in Bloomfieid. Ia. since 1979. His death occurred in the Bloomfield Hospital Thursday. March 25, 1982.
