Robert Benge, long time farmer in this vicinity, died at 3 a.m. Christmas morning at his home
on 12th and Cottage streets. He had been in poor health for quite some time.
Mr. Benge was born February 7, 1875, and had been a farmer all his adult life until, poor
health forced his retirement.
His wife, Margaret, one daughter, Mrs. Roxie Craig of Des Moines; and two sons, Charles
Benge of Salt Lake City, Utah; and William Benge of Gibbons, Nebraska, survive. Two step children, Elmer Brown of Udell and Elva Langdon of Knoxville, also survive.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Miller Werhle funeral home.
