Eston Stites
Dies Saturday

Eston Sebastion Stites, 87, died at 11 p.m. Saturday, May 2, at his home at 925 South 16th.
Mr. Stites had been roadmaster with the I. S. U. for 30 years. He had lived in Centerville for 56 years. Born in Wells Township September 29, 1871, he was the son of James and Cynthia Horn. He was married to Laura Sherer, September 29, 1895, and she died January 18, 1955.
Surviving are two sons, L. Roy of Portland, Ore.; and Fred of San Leandro, Calif.; one daughter, Mabel C. Hughes, Centerville; nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren; three brothers, Otis of Osborn, Mo.; Alfred of Centerville, and Howard of Oxford, Neb.; and one sister, Mrs. Frances Price, Lebanon, Mo.
The body is at the Miller-Wehrle Funeral Home. Tentative funeral plans have been made for
Thursday afternoon.
