MRS. R. F. VEACH DEAD.
"Aunt Rhoda" Veach Died Last Evening
After Many Years of Suffering.

Mrs. R. F. Veach, familarly known as "Aunt Rhody" by nearly every old resident of Appanoose county, died at the home of her daughter Mrs. J. R. Bradley in this city, last evening about 4:30 o'clock. The cause of her death was consumption with which she has suffered for many years. At the time of her death she was 63 years, 8 months and 12 days.
The funeral services will be held from the Methodist church at Numa tomorrow at 11 o'clock
a. m. and interement will be made in the Farmer cemetery one and one-half miles southwest of
Numa. Rev. E. J. Shook will conduct the funeral services.
Rhoda Francis Bryant was born in Van Buren county, Iowa, April 28, 1838, and was married to Adam Veach about 43 years ago. They removed to Centerville where her husband worked at his trade until about 1868 when they moved to Numa where Mr. Veach died several years ago.
She was a member of the Methodist church and was an ardent Christian woman who was known as such in her every day life and who was most highly respected and honored by a large circle of acquaintances. Mrs. Veach leaves but two children living out of a large family, Mrs. J. R. Bradley and J. R. Veach, both of Centerville. She also left several other relatives, brothers and sisters who will deeply mourn her loss.
