Dies Monday
Eugene Ballard. 616 North 7th Street, died at 9:45 a.m. Monday, June 6, 1960, at the St. Joseph
Hospital, where he had entered Friday. He was 62 years, four months, and 29 days of age.
Born Jan. 13, 1898, in Missouri, he was the son of LeRoy and Lucinda Collins Ballard. He was a
member of the UMWA.
Be was married to Viva Kathern Hurt, who died Feb. 11, 1957. Surviving are six children, Lester Ballard, Davenport; Juanita Pullen, Mendota, ILL., Edna Mae Crow, Monmouth, ILL., Genevieve Adams and Bonnie McDaniel, Centerville and Barbara Brinkley of Promise City; 18 grandchildren; two brothers, and three sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Paul.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later from the Johnson Funeral Home.
