Leona Estes
Mrs. Leona Lillian Estes of 1720 South 15th Street, Centerville, died Tuesday, January 7, 1975, at the age of 76. Mrs. Estes was visiting in Cincinnati, Ohio, with a niece when death occurred.
Born in Elkins, W. Va., December 5, 1898, she was the daughter of Richard R. and Caroline Taylor. She was married to Okie Estes in Trenton, Mo. June 26, 1919. He preceded her in death November 23, 1973. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Edna and a brother. Surviving are two children, Kenneth and Marian Estes, three grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Estes was a member of Second Baptist Church. She was retired from her work as
a surgical aid at St. Joseph Hospital.
Funeral services will be Saturday, 1:30 p.m., at Johnson Funeral Home, with the Rev. George Jones officiating. Burial will be in Oakland
Cemetery.
