Dies Tuesday
Laura Baker, 88, long time resident of the Unionville-Udell neighborhood, passed away Tuesday, May 14, in the Lutheran Nursing Home in Perry, Iowa. She was the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Baker. She and her sister, Belle lived on the home farm until a few years ago when they moved to Cedar Falls to live with their sister Mary Nay. Miss Baker was a retired school teacher.
She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Minnie Estle of Dallas Center, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, Nan Baker, Alice Beach, Mary Nay, and Belle Baker, and a brother, Ezra.
The body has been returned to Miller Wehrle Funeral Home and funeral arrangements are pending.
