Steve Vince Raskie
Steve Vince Raskie, Cincinnati, died Tuesday, November 29, 1977, in St. Joseph Hospital, Centerville, at the age of 84. Born in Rathbun October 5, 1893, he was the son of Michael and Cecilia Buban Raskie. He was married to Eve
Cinkovich in Centerville in 1921, and she survives.
Other survivors include twelve children, George Raskie, Mary Adams, Frances Sniegowski, Gabriel Raskie, Cecelia Budeslich, Helen Raskie and
Steve Raskie, all of Centerville; Carl Raskie, Moline, ILL.; Mike Raskie and Eva Raskie, Cincinnati; Christine Kolniak, Hinsdale, ILL.; and Patricia Geers, North Brook, ILL.; 39 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren;
two sisters, Antonia Kauzlarich and Anna Cvinkovich, Centerville; and one brother, George Raskie, Cincinnati.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the American Legion UMWA, and the Crotian Fraternal Union. He was a veteran of World War I.
Services will be Friday, 10:30 a.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with Father Davis Dougherty officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Rosary services will be Thursday at 7 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home in Centerville. A memorial has been established to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
