Daughter of Pioneer Residents
Lived 65 Years In Same Location in County

Alda A. Condra, 65, who was the wife of the late E. E. Condra, and a life long resident of the community northwest of Cincinnati, died at her home there at 5 p. m. Sunday following a long period of illness. Widely known and loved, Mrs. Condra is mourned by a host of friends and relatives. She was a woman of splendid character and a devoted mother.
Mrs. Condra was born about one-half mile from the home where her death occurred. Her parents, Peter and Clara Bales, were pioneer residents of the Cincinnati area. Miss Bales grew to young womanhood there and in 1903 united in marriage with E. E. Condra. To this union seven children were born. The father died December 4, 1941, and his funeral was held on the day of the Pearl Harbor attack.
The surviving children are: Paul, of Centerville; Mrs. Effie Anderson, of Dickens, Iowa; Mrs. Vica Anderson, also of Dickens; Kenneth, of Moravia; Albert, of Dickens; Gene, of Long Beach, Calif., and Edith Brown, who lives on the home farm.
There are two sisters who survive and are, Mrs. E. E. Harl, and Mrs. E. Desper, of the Cincinnati community. There are 16 surviving grandchildren.
Funeral services are to be held from the Franklin Baptist church Tuesday at 2:30 o'clock with the Rev. Cleeton of the Seymour Baptist church officiating. Burial will be at Livingston.
Gene, who flew from California arrived in time to beat his mother's bedside at the time of her passing.
