Lulu B. Everman, 76, long time and widely known resident of this community died Wednesday morning at the St. Joseph's Mercy hospital, where she had been a patient for the past two weeks.
Mrs. Everman was born July 19, 1877, at Cincinnati, Ia., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Greene. In September, 1898, she united in marriage with Barton Everman, who preceded her in death March 5, 1917.
Mrs. Everman was a longtime member of the Rebekah Lodge, of which she was a member at the time of her passing. She was a lifelong member of the Christian church, and had been secretary of the Loyal Women's Sunday school class for 25 years.
Mrs. Everman had been employed at various dress shops in Centerville since 1920.
In death she leaves three daughters and one son, Irene Haraldson of Albuquerque, N. M , Florence Koenitzer of Davis, Calif., and Ruth Greenshields of Wood River, ILL., and Harold Everman of Hot Springs, Ark. There are 11 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. One stepson, Grant Everman of Centerville.
and one stepdaughter, Stella McNeff, of Minco, Okla., also survive.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p m. from the Drake Avenue Christian church with the Rev. Thomas Polk officiating and burial
in Oakland cemetery. The body will lie in state et the Johnson Funeral home. The family requests that there be no flowers.
