Mrs. Thompson had spent practically all her life in Appanoose County and more than 60 years in Brazil. She was a member of the Methodist church at Brazil, Iowa and was a regular attendant and worker in the church as long as her health permitted.
Her folks were pioneers of Appanoose County having come here from Ohio at an early date and settled near where the town of Cincinnati now stands.
Mrs. Thompson was a kind and loving person and will be greatly missed by her many friends and neighbors and by her immediate family.
Funeral services were held in the Brazil Methodist Church, Friday, Jan. 30 at 2 p. m. and were conducted by the Rev. M. R. Gonzalez of the Mystic-Jerome Methodist Charge. Comfort through song and music was provided by Mrs. Smallwood and Mrs. Bradwell, accompanied by Mrs. Gonzalez. The songs were: "The Old
