Former Mystic
Resident Dies
MYSTIC— Friends here have received word of the death of Mrs. Emma Thornton, 69, who passed away at the St. Francis Hospital in Peoria. She had been in failing health for several years. She is survived by her husband, Ralph, four sons, George, Paul, and John of Peoria and James of East Peoria; three daughters, Gladys, Margaret, and Pauline, all of Peoria, 16 grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Annie Havner. One son, Ralph, preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Monday at the Wilton Mortuary in Peoria, and burial was at the Fairview Cemetery. Mrs. Thornton was a well known former resident of Mystic. She was the former Miss Emma Brynn.
