McKenzie—Martin
An event of unusual interest to the young people of this community occured in Centerville, Easter Sunday, when Miss Dallas McKenzie, of Moulton, became the bride of Robert Martin, Jr., of Des Moines. The event was solemnized at 1:30 p. m. at the altar of the First Methodist church, the Rev. Frank A. Wilder reading the impressive single ring ceremony. The couple was attended by Miss Lavinna Scott and Cecil McFarland, both of Centerville.
The bride wore an ensemble of white silk crepe with white accessories. Her flowers were pastel colored sweet peas. Her attendant wore powder blue silk crepe with navy accessories and carried a bouquet of sweet peas. The bridegroom was attired in oxford grey, and the attendant
in brown. Mrs. Martin is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. McKenzie of near Moulton, and is one of the charming young ladies of
this community. She was graduated from the Moulton high school with the class of 1932, and has been one of Appanoose county's successful
teachers for the past two years.
Mr. Martin is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Martin, Sr., of Centerville. He was graduated from the Centerville high school with the
class of 1934. He is an energetic young man and is at the present time engaged in the trucking business in Des Moines.
