PUNNELL, TRAYER

I would like to correspond with anyone researching or related to the following family:
Pierre (Peter) Punnel(l) was born in Wormeldange, Luxembourg in about 1836-1837. The first record I have of him in America is in 1863 in Iowa. He married Cecelia Trayer in Lansing, Iowa (Allamakee Co.) on 29 Nov 1868. Four children were born to Peter and Cecelia in Lansing---Elizabeth in Aug 1869; Anna in Sept 1870; Joseph M. in about 1875; and William Gauloise on 20 July 1876. According to A. T. Andreas' "Illustrated Historical Atlas of the State of Iowa, 1875" and all the various censuses, Peter worked as a painter, perhaps of carriages or carts, like he did in France before coming to America. The family moved to Marshalltown, Iowa (Marshall County) in about 1877, where they had more children and lived until their deaths.
Let's compare notes!
