I am trying to find out about my Grandpa's time as fire chief of the Lansing FD. He was associated with them during the 1940's, and he also worked for the power company there. I'm looking for pictures from that time period that may include him, either from the fire department or the power company. Also, I'm trying to locate a fire pumper from 1884 that my Grandpa restored that might have made its way back to Iowa. He recovered it from a building that was about to be demolished in New Albon around 1942 or so. He brought it to Colorado in 1956 and restored it with Lansing FD markings. He loaned it to a Denver museum in 1972, and it has not been seen since. He died in 1988 in Colorado.
