Joel Baker, my gg grandfather, left Indiana sometime after 1850. Some of his children were born in Iowa by his first wife, Elizabeth Dempsey. I located a Joel Baker in Allamakee County, Jefferson Twp., IA who married in 1854 Catherine Dundy. In 1880 Federal Census there is a Joel Baker with wife Catherine with 4 children. I would like to know where he is buried,the census states he had asthma and he was 74 years old. At one time he was Quaker.
