ORPHAN TRAIN?

MCLOUGHLIN, BRODRICK, BRODERICK, GRIFFEN

In the 1880 census I find my grandfather, William Joseph Brodrick and his brother, John, living with the Wm. Griffen family in the Dorchester area of Allamakee County. At the same time, their other brother, Thomas Brodrick, is living with the well-known Wm. McLaughlin family. Did the Orphan Train come through the area around that time? Would there be any information in local newspapers? Could someone see if these boys are still with the families in the 1885 Census? Thanks for any help given.
