Walsh/Welch problem

WALSH, ROONEY, WELCH, LYCET, LAUGHLIN

I'm having a real dilemma sorting out the Walsh/Welch people in my database. Looking for somebody who may be able to help me sort this out. Leo Walsh, son of Frank Walsh and Sarah Rooney b 8 Jan 1891. St. Patrick's church records have him married to Anna Cecelia Laughlin 16 May 1928 at St. Mary's Lycurgus but I believe they have him confused with Leo T. Welch, son of James P. Welch and Mary Lycet. Leo T. Welch was born 22 May 1899. Does anyone have any information on either of these families that might help me clear this up. I don't want to put all the children from that marriage to the wrong father!!
