I am searching for any info/records of Wilhelmine SCHERER. First husband's surname Meinhardt/Meinhart/Minehart. Second husband Crestian/Christian SCHERER.

1860 Census, Lansing, Allamakee, IA, shows Wilhelmine SCHERER, 49; Crestian Scherer, 53, painter; and two of Wilhelmine's four children from her first marriage: Mary Meinhart, 13, and Ernest Meinhart, 15, apprentice painter.

1865 Census, Atchison, Atchison, KS - Wilhelmine Scherer is living with her son-in-law, John HERTHA, and her daughter Mary MEINHARDT, now married to John Hertha, and their five-month-old baby Mary.

I suspect that Crestian/Christian Scherer died in Lansing, IA 1860-1865. I have no info prior to 1860 to indicate where they lived, except it is possible John Hertha married Mary Meinhardt in St. Paul, MN abt. 1862.

Can you help me?
