George Henry is Buried Saturday

LYCURGUS FARMER PASSES AT DUBUQUE DECEMBER 28TH AFTER SHORT ILLNESS

George Henry of Lycurgus passed away Wednesday, December 28 at Sunnycrest Sanitarium at Dubuque following a several months illness. He was 37 years old.

George Henry, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Henry, was born on a farm near Lycurgus in 1901. He received his education in the rural schools of Allamakee county. He was married to Olive Wagner at Cherry Mound, and they made their home on the former John Rice farm in that vicinity.

He leaves to mourn his death his wife, and three children, Rose, Catherine, and Norma, his mother, Mrs. Charles Henry of near Lycurgus, two sisters, Mrs. William Duffy of Waukon and Mrs. Harvey Flage of Ludlow township, three brothers, Theodore, Leo and Milton, all of Makee township. Funeral services were held Saturday morning at St. Mary's church at Lycurgus. The Reverend Thomas O'Toole sang the requiem mass, and burial was in the adjoining cemetery.

George Clifford Henry died of TB on December 28, 1938
