LAST RITES FOR HARVEY EBNER
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 12, at 10:30 a.m. in St. John's Lutheran Church in Waukon for Harvey B. Ebner of Waukon. The Rev. Marlyn Hansing officiating and burial was in Mays Prairie Cemetery.
Mr. Ebner died Aug. 8 in Waukon Veterans Memorial Hospital following a stroke. He was born May 6, 1891 in French Creek Township, Allamakee County, and was a son of Jacob and Johanna Ebner. He was educated in the local schools.
March 3, 1920 he married Olga Lier in St. John's Lutheran Church in Waukon. They farmed in French Creek township until 1946 when they moved to Waukon. He was then employed at Waukon Implement.
Survivors are his wife, two sons, Charles of Hudson and Gordon of Sparks, Nev., and a daughter Mrs. Charles (Arla) Bulman of Waukon. Fifteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren, a sister Mrs. Herman Gelo of Waukon, and a brother Frank Ebner of Eau Claire, Wis., also survive.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Walter, and three sisters, Flora, Emma, and Mrs. Charles Wild.
Mr. Ebner was a member of St. John's Church.
Robert Hartley, Everett Ellefson, Floyd Wild, Lewis Ebner, Edwin Gelo, and Kenneth Flage were pallbearers. Bakke and Hanson was in charge of arrangements.
