Rites Held For Emma Manja
Funeral services are being conducted at 11:00 a.m. today, Wednesday, February 15, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville, for Emma Manja, 91, who died Sunday night at the Good Samaritan Home in Postville. The Rev. Norris Swenson will officiate.
Born November 14, 1886 in Bloomfield township, Winneshiek county, Emma was the daughter of Ludwig and Caroline Martens Linderbaum. She was baptized December 15, 1886 and confirmed April 8, 1900.
April 26, 1926, in Postville, she was united in marriage to Charles Manja of Chicago. He preceded her in death October 31, 1971.
Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Charles and Frank Linderbaum, and eight sisters, Edith, Bertha, Frieda and Caroline Linderbaum; Mrs. Henry (Anna) Althouse, Mrs. William (Minnie) Martens, Mrs. Harry (Louise) Lenth and Mrs. Wm. (Sophia) Geiger.
Burial will be in the Postville Cemetery with Schutte Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
