PATRICIA BYRNES

Patricia M. Byrnes, 82, of Waukon died Sunday, Nov 18, at the Good Samaritan Center in Waukon. Her funeral services were held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, Nov. 21 at St. Patrick's Church, Hanover. Fr. Ed Lechtenberg officiated, and burial was in the church cemetery. Hanson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Born March 17, 1908 in Chicago, IL, to John and Mary Blake, she attended school for 12 years studying the normal training course. Jan. 5, 1932 she and Francis Byrnes were married at St. Mary's Church, Dorchester. She was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Waukon and the Rosary Society of St. Mary's, Hanover.

Survivors include her husband, three sons, Bill, Frank and Charlie, all of Waukon; two daughters, Mary Lou Poli and Jeanne Ann Wiedner, 16 grandchildren, and 11 great- grandchildren. Also surviving are seven brothers and sisters, Marie Schulte, Julia Mauss, Helen White of Colorado, Betty Hegeman, John Blake, Beatrice Mauss and Francis Blake of California.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Kevin; three brothers, William, James and Patrick Blake, and a sister, Gert Larson.

Casket bearers were Bill, Frank and Charles Byrnes, Richard Poli, Dan Wiedner and Brian Byrnes.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Waukon, with burial in St. Mary's Hanover Cemetery, rural Waukon.

Friends may call Tuesday from 2 to 9 p.m. at Hanson Funeral Home.
