Mrs. EARL (Loretta B. Sheehy) ABERNETHY 1890-1978

Funeral services for Loretta B. Abernethy, 87, were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 5, 1978, at St. Bridget Catholic Church, Postville, with the Rev. A. A. McAvoy officiating. Burial was in St. Peter's Cemetery, Clermont.

Mrs. Abernethy died Thursday morning, August 3, 1978, at Memorial Hospital, Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. She was born in Postville, August 13, 1890, to Frank and Anna Sheehy. She lived in Postville until two and one-half years ago, when she left to live at the Great River Care Center in McGregor.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl, in 1956. Surviving are a son, Curtis, Elgin, Illinois; a daughter, Barbara (Mrs. William Dickey), Marquette, Iowa; and eight grandchildren.
