Died at Waukon, December 19, 1869, of dropsy on the brain, Theona E., daughter of Theodore W. and Mary A. Burton. Aged 3 years and 4 days.

Alas, the fairest flowers have dearth
All earthly ties are riven;
One more bright link is loosed from Earth,
To draw us home to heaven.
