Mrs. GRANT (Ella M. Rolfs) Livingood CLARK 1897-1989
Ella M. Clark, 92, of Waukon, died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 1989, at the Good Samaritan Center, Waukon. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Martin Funeral Home with burial in Oakland Cemetery, both in Waukon. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Clark operated a custodial home in Waukon for many years. She was born on Jan. 20, 1897, in Clermont, daughter of Louis and Anna (Maddous) Rolfs. She married Burton Livingood in 1914, in Postville. She married Grant Clark in 1940, in Waukon.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are four daughters, Viola Rosendahl and Hazel Goeke, both of Waukon, Virginia Cottrel of San Clemente, Calif., and Kathryn Shattuck of Marion; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Rosena Winters and Lydia Grotegut, both of Waukon. She was preceded by her husbands and a daughter, Rosetta.
-note: Burton Livingood died January, 1963. His parents were Webster Clay and Mary Ella (Waters) Livingood.
