Mr. Stevenson was killed at the battle of Anteitem, Sept. 17, 1862.

Mrs. Stevenson was married to Benjamin Howard in March, 1867. Of their six children two died in infancy. The survivors are Mrs. Albert O. Knight, George H. and Frederick S. Howard all of Franklin township, and Mrs. Henry W. Hill of Minneapolis, Minn.

Mrs. Howard was a conscientious Christian, a loving mother and a good neighbor. The sympathy of the entire community goes out to the aged husband who mourns a devoted wife.
